Britain has sought to get clarification from Nigeria on where and how the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.
Junior minister at Britain's Foreign Office, Tariq Ahmad stated this while responding to a question about Kanu's case from a lawmaker.
According to Ahmad, while responding to a question about Kanu's case from a lawmaker, "We are seeking clarification from the Nigerian government about the circumstances of the arrest and detention of Nnamdi Kanu,"
He added that the British Government has requested consular access to Kanu and is ready to provide consular assistance.
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who is also a British citizen, was arrested in June and extradited to Nigeria to face trial for a treasonable felony.
