Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, marking a major shift in the Assembly's leadership.
Obasa's return to the top position follows a period of internal dispute that briefly saw Mojisola Meranda assume the speakership.
On Monday, Meranda resigned from the role and reverted to her former position as Deputy Speaker.
Obasa became the speaker after being the sole nominee for the position.
