Award-winning Israeli journalist and author, Gideon Levy has revealed that “the level of brainwashing in Israel goes deep."

Speaking on "Borderlines," a global news and politics show on Nigeria Info FM, Levy stated that as an Israeli, "we were always told that we are the good ones, and Arabs are the bad ones, all kinds of lies."

"We were told not to ask questions and meant to believe that they (Palestinians were born to kill and we (Israelis) are born for peace."

He noted that the Israeli media is a huge problem for  "intentionally not showing anything about the atrocities in #Gaza."

"The growing gap between public opinion and Western governments is very obvious now. There is a growing solidarity with the Palestinians and Gaza."

"The problem is the government totally supports Israel in an unconditional way," he said.

Reacting to the drone strike which led to the killing of a senior Hamas official Saleh al-Arouri, Gideon Levy stated that there is no doubt that Israel carried out the drone strike.

He noted that the act makes no sense as it appears to be just a mere show of "how strong we are and how James Bond we are."

He added that such acts will only add flames to the crisis.

On the alleged proposal to remove Palestinians from Gaza and send them to some African countries, Levy stated that "Israel has no right to expel, relocate or attempt to expel Palestinians to Africa or another land."

"Palestinian home is in Gaza and Israel cannot remove or relocate Palestinians against their will from their own land," he added.

Following a case of genocide filed by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the response of the Israeli government, Levy insists that "South Africa was and is a role model for fighting for justice."

According to him the response of the Israeli government to the genocidal case against it is "one of the most shameful declarations of #Israel's propaganda full of lies."
