Public Affairs Analyst, Gbolahan Olojede, believes it is impossible for the All Progressives Congress to successfully adopt a consensus candidate option at the party's presidential primaries later this year.
Olojede said this on the Morning Crossfire with Sheriff Quadry, when he was asked if the APC will pick a consensus candidate, after adopting the consensus mode successfully at the just concluded national convention.
According to him, with the number of presidential candidates who have expressed interest so far, "the stakes are much higher", adding that it will be impossible to convince all of them to step down.
However, if they finally come to a consensus arrangement, Olojede believes it will affect governors, other key members of the party with presidential ambitions and further divide the party.
