There is uncertainty over who will become Atiku Abubakar's running mate, following his emergence as the People's Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
Nyesom Wike, the Rivers Governor who was the first runner-up in Saturday's primary, has been mentioned, even before the primary.
However, the News Manager at Nigeria Info, Ufuoma Egbamuno, thinks Atiku and Wike cannot work together because they are both strong-willed individuals.
Speaking on Morning Crossfire with Sheriff Quadry, Mr. Egbamuno said the rumours are tilting towards Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
According to him, Atiku is being careful in not selecting a running mate who may not have the full support of the PDP governors to avoid the "mistake" he made in picking Peter Obi in 2019.
His choice that year was unwelcome among some factions of the PDP.
