Former Spokesperson of Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, Anabs Sara-Igbe has expressed displeasure over the role of the Rivers state police command in dealing with recent pockets of pre-election violence across the state.
This follows an attack on the Director-General of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Rivers state, Dr. Abiye Sekibo.
In an interview on Nigeria Info's Morning Crossfire, Mr Sara-Igbe questioned the capacity of the police to provide adequate security in the state as the 2023 polls draw closer, and how it might impact voter confidence and participation in the election.
The former PANDEF spokesperson called on the police to shun partisanship and live up to its constitutional responsibility of providing security for all.
