The upcoming National Convention of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, is around the corner, but whether it will hold or not is yet to be determined.
This is because there are certain intrigues and controversies facing the party. The suspension of the National Chairman, Uche Secondus, is still generating reactions.
Political analyst and Editor of Independent Monitor, Olalekan Ige, is of the opinion that the performance of the National Chairman will not determine the success of the party.
Mr Ige who was a guest on Nigeria Info's Morning Crossfire believes politics is a matter of numbers and interest, and the suspended National Chairman has the right to challenge his suspension in court. He also believes a lot of Nigerians erroneously "look at politics from the angle of emotions".
