The outcome of the February 25, Presidential election in Nigeria, is still hotly debated one month after.

While some aggrieved parties have approached the court to seek redress, others have explored the court of public opinion to express their dissents.

Regardless, the impact of these diverse views on the collective existence of the people is one that is uncertain.

Have politicians handled their right of expression with decorum or are they simply heating up the polity?

Ifiemi Andrew got callers on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire to share their thoughts on the current political atmosphere in the country and whether or not it’s being heated up by political rhetoric from politicians.

“They are inciting people; it is obvious and it's not a welcome development…” a caller says. He stressed that politicians should be circumspect in their actions and let the law decide.

Another caller believes peace should be the core interest of all despite the political disagreements.
