The APC during its National Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday announced the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for members of its party.
For presidential tickets, expression of interest and nomination forms come to N100 million. A governorship ticket will cost N50 million for both nomination and expression of interest forms. Senate will go for N20 million and House of Representatives aspirants are to pay N10 million. Aspirants for State legislative seats are to pay N2 million for expression of interest and nomination forms.
This has since generated reactions from Nigerians. While some believe the cost of some of the forms is too high, others believe politics should not be an all-comers affair.
For Kachi, a caller on the Morning Crossfire, the cost of the forms will deny youths the opportunity to fully participate in the elections.
