A traditionalist, Apesinola Oluwadaminlare, has explained that the recent hike in ritual killings by the youth may not stop soon.

Oluwadaminlare, who claims to be a good traditionalist, told Nigeria Info's Sheriff Quadry that the killings may continue because some youths have made up their minds to get money at all costs.

He also spoke about a social media group where traditionalists share the "rewards" of rituals and make them look lucrative.

According to him, if these groups are unchecked, traditionalists will continue to be in contact with potential clients.

He also called on the government to prioritize the welfare of its people to help reduce poverty in the land because if the poverty level is high, many youths will engage in rituals to make headway.

Quizzed why traditionalists like him don’t convince others who carry out the rituals to desist, he explained that it is not as easy as we think.
