Labour Party Youth Leader, Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, has raised concerns about a growing issue within his party that he believes has plagued many political parties in Nigeria.
Speaking on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire, Ahanotu claimed politicians often attempt to “take over party administration and party management structures”. This, he warns, is leading to internal crises, and he fears the same could happen within the Labour Party.
Ahanotu also spoke on concerns in his party in Rivers State, reaffirming that Hilda Dokubo is the legitimate chairperson of the party in the state. This comes amid speculations and potential conflicts regarding the party's leadership in Rivers.
Regarding the upcoming local government elections, Ahanotu confirmed that the party has fielded candidates and is ready to participate actively in the elections, despite the internal and external pressures it may face.
