Broadcast journalist and Hard Facts show host Sandra Ezekwesili has reacted to the discovery of over 58 illegal oil points along the Forcados area of Delta State.

She stated that it is almost impossible to install a 4 km illegal crude oil pipeline in the ocean "without the authorities knowing."

"You ask any petroleum engineer what it takes to do this, and they will give you a list and the days it will take."

First of all, "you can't do it when oil is flowing. You have to shut down the flow before you cut the pipe. How did they shut down the flow without the different operators knowing?" she asked.

Tantita Security, owned by the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, discovered the illegal four-kilometre crude oil pipeline connected from Forcados terminal to the sea.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor and the Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Mele Kyari, have vowed to unmask the saboteurs behind the illegal pipeline.
