A Nigeria Info Sunny Side caller named Ogbonna has shared a concerning experience about navigating teenage affection and maintaining professional integrity during his service year in Akwa Ibom.
Responding to questions during a conversation about teenagers’ involvement in romantic relationships, he recounted witnessing inappropriate relationships between male corps members and secondary school students.
He also recalled a startling instance where a female student confessed feelings for him despite their significant age gap. He said he had to take immediate disciplinary action to set boundaries and discourage inappropriate behaviour.
“At some point, I cut her some slack, I didn’t blame her, I blamed my fellow corpers,” he said.
