Psychiatrist, Dr. Omobolawa Akande-Akinyemi has listed psychological, among others as factors that could lead to postpartum disorder in pregnant and newly delivered women.
Dr Omobolawa made this disclosure on the Morning Crossfire with Sheriff Quadry on Thursday.
Postpartum Disorder is a condition that is understood but according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Worldwide about 10% of pregnant women and 13% of women who have just given birth experience a mental disorder, primarily depression. It is higher in developing countries.
