The House of Representatives has approved President Bola Tinubu's request for 500 billion naira to support Nigerians after the removal of petrol subsidy.
Swift action was taken within 24 hours of the request, with approval to the amendment to the 2022 supplementary appropriation act.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had asked the lawmakers to approve N500 billion to allow the federal government to provide palliatives to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal on Nigerians.
