The broadcast media in Nigeria has an estimated annual value of $20 billion dollars, according to the Executive Publisher of Broadcast Media Africa and a media consultant to the National Broadcasting Commission, Benjamin Pius.

Mr. Pius disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, ahead of the 2023 AFRICAST.

He said the broadcast industry is attracting international collaboration because of its viability.

He further stated that Nigerian broadcast media should be able to compete favorably with global brands if the right technologies and proper business methods were adopted.

AFRICAST is a dynamic expo and convention for broadcasters, media professionals, and content executives in film, TV, and radio.

Professionals come together to explore the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities in the industry.

This year's AFRICAST is scheduled to take place in Lagos from 24 – 26 October, with the theme, “Broadcast Content: Synergy, Finance and Market.”
