
The Kano Zoological Garden witnessed an impressive turnout as Muslim families thronged the park to celebrate Eid el Fitr, turning the zoo into a hub of festivities and excitement.
Visitors of all ages arrived in large numbers, celebrating the holidays with picnics, sightseeing, and recreational activities.
Dressed in their traditional attire, families engaged in various activities, including watching wildlife, taking photographs, and enjoying local delicacies sold at food stalls.
Nigeria Info observed that the 15th Emir of Kano’s palace, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero, and the 16th Emir’s, Alh. Muhammad Sanusi II, were also busy with celebrations amid tight security.
Security operatives such as the Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel, KAROTA, and HISBAH were seen in strategic locations to ensure a smooth celebration.
Some persons celebrating EID expressed joy over the well-maintained environment and the availability of entertainment options, including a children's park, as parents emphasized the importance of exposing children to nature and wildlife while celebrating the holiday.

A parent, Muhammad Ibrahim revealed that he visits the Zoo to show his children the wildlife as they have never seen it before.
“We are here to celebrate Eid; my children only see the wildlife on television. So we are here for fun, and I will make sure I show them everything they need to know,” he said.
An 8-year-old girl, Khadija Ahmed could not hold her excitement after seeing some of the wildlife.
She said, “I saw a lion, an elephant, and a Kobra. I’m really happy today.”
Another boy, intensified as Sadiq Bala says “They brought new wildlife which is very nice. I’m happy because I did not waste my gate fee today, he said.
On her part, Aysha Adams who visited the Zoo for the first time today, said she had fun seeing the wildlife.
“I only hear about wildlife when my friends are talking about it. Today I will be able to talk about it myself. This is fun,” he added.
