Reports say gunmen have abducted the wife of Sunday Adeyemi aka Sunday Igboho in the early hours of Thursday.
This is according to a statement issued today by the leader of the umbrella body of Yoruba self-determination groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, Professor-Emeritus Banji Akintoye.
In the statement, Akintoye said the assailants were dressed in military fatigues and spoke fluent French.
He said seven occupants of the building were killed while Igboho’s wife and several others were abducted.
The alleged abduction comes less than three days away from a planned Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos.
The police are yet to confirm the details of the statement.
