The staff of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) did not show up for work on Monday, in compliance with the nationwide strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The FCTA Secretariat and other agency offices were closed to staff and visitors, with workers’ unions controlling all the entrances.
They ensured no human or vehicle passed into the premises of the government offices.
Similar situations were recorded in other Federal government organizations in the territory where official business activities were grounded in compliance with the NLC directive.
Vehicular traffic was unusually light, especially on roads connecting to the outskirts of the FCT.
