Some applicants seeking employment in the Rivers State Civil Service Commission say the online screening test conducted by the Commission over the weekend was characterized by technical glitches.

They explained to Nigeria Info how the entire four minutes allotted for the test were spent loading the ten questions.

Some of them said the two-day window was inadequate and called on the state government to extend the date and accommodate those whose chances were marred by the website's slowness.

“The site was not going through, and conducting the exam in just two days was not fair,” an applicant said.

“Extending it is the only way they can help those that did not write,” he added.

“After I answered the first question, loading the next question was a problem,” another said.

“I only answered four questions within the four minutes time frame because of the error page that kept popping up,” said yet another applicant.

“It is not as if I don’t know the answers but I was unable to finish because I could not access the ten questions before the portal logged me out,” he added.

Former governor, Nyesom Wike had on 13 March sworn in board members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission under the chairmanship of Clifford Ndu-Walter with the task to employ 10,000 youths within one month.

The task is yet to be completed, more than three months after.

The applicants are, however, hopeful that the incumbent governor, Siminialaye Fubara, will complete the employment process as he assured - during his campaign - of consolidating on Wike’s administration.
