
Nigeria’s vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has announced his bid for the presidency.
The vice president made the declaration in a video that was posted on his social media platforms.
Professor Osinbajo said he knows Nigerians’ hopes, aspirations, and fears, having met with citizens of various socioeconomic classes in “practically all local governments in Nigeria.”

He also pledged to complete what the government of Muhammadu Buhari started, such as:
- The transformation of Nigeria’s security and intelligence architecture.
- The completion of justice reforms.
- Advancing infrastructure development.
- The Provision of an excellent environment for businesses to thrive.
- Advancing agricultural revolution.
- The creation of a tech economy.
- The enhancement of the government’s social investment programme.
- The lifting of millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
- The reformation of the educational system.
- And ensuring universal health coverage.
He also pledged to work on the provision of jobs for Nigerians.
