Callers on Nigeria Info's Hello Port Harcourt have given their ratings of the level of Police-citizen cooperation in tackling crime in Rivers State.
Responding to research on kidnapping incidents across 24 states of the country between January and July 2024, they took different stances on how crime is fought in the state.
The first caller rated the Police poorly, giving them one on a scale of 1-5. He shared his personal story of having to 'bail' his car after it was stolen and he recovered it.
Another caller argued that just like health insurance, there should be security insurance schemes where little contributions are made to assist in funding the Police.
"For me, I don't think it's anything too serious if the police should ask us to maybe fuel their vehicle," he said.
