This caller believes that the solution to the current economic woes in Nigeria is for President Bola Tinubu to return to the status quo by restoring the subsidy removed on petroleum.

Israel said this in response to Kalada Batubo’s question on Nigeria Info’s Hard Facts, about the state of the economy and what Nigerians can do given the removal of petrol subsidy and the resultant increase in petrol pump price.

Israel said: “The solution to this 'wahala' that everybody is facing now, return back to status quo because, in the first place, they were not ready to take out subsidy.”

He also added that fixing the refineries should not be “rocket science”, claiming he can get them to work in three months.

“If the boys in the creeks can use firewood to do a separative method of hydrocarbon and give us diesel and fuel which is not up to standard…the refineries are already standing, it would not take me talking to you now three months to fix those refineries,” he said.
