The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU on Monday announced a one-month warning strike over the Federal Government’s failure to honour an agreement reached in 2020.
Though some students expressed displeasure over the news, the President of the union, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke explains to Constance Mega, why further actions will be taken if the government fails to respond at the end of the one-month warning strike.
He said Nigerians should demand quality education from candidates as they vote in the upcoming elections; calling on both students and parents to take up the struggle, to avoid a total collapse of the Nigerian Universities. The last strike in 2020 lasted for 9 months.
