This is the position of financial expert Njoku Nkwachukwu, who has explained that cash ransom payments, though seemingly untraceable, might be easier for security agencies to track.

He was speaking on Nigeria Info’s Hard Facts, on the crucial role financial institutions play in tackling the rampant issue of kidnapping in the country.

According to Nkwachukwu, with close collaboration between financial institutions and security agencies, seemingly untraceable cash flows can be meticulously mapped, leading to the identification and apprehension of perpetrators.
