The former Executive Director of Human Rights Watch and Professor at Princeton University, Kenneth Roth has cautioned the US President Joe Biden for constantly sending arms and ammunitions to Israel in its war on Gaza.

"If Biden continues to send arms to Israel without conditions, he is opening himself up to charges of war crimes similar to Charles Taylor of Liberia.

Speaking on "Borderlines," a global news and politics show on Nigeria Info FM, Roth stated that "if Biden continues to send arms to Israel without conditions, he is opening himself up to charges of aiding war crimes similar to Charles Taylor of Liberia."

He explained that the case of former Liberian president, Charles Taylor who aided war crimes in Sierra Loane by exchanging diamonds for arms, "is enough precedent to try US President Joe Biden for aiding Israel's war crimes in Gaza.

Netanyahu Invoking the Biblical Story of ‘Amalek’

The former Executive Director of Human Rights Watch revealed that the Israeli President in the middle of the war "invoked this biblical story of ‘Amalek’ where there is a divine injunction to kill every man, woman, child, and animal."

Roth added that such a declaration basically sends the signal "I don't care about Palestinian/civilian deaths.

He further added that journalists are not in any way safe and are sometimes targets in the war.

"If you're a journalist in Gaza, you've got as much of a chance of being killed as just an ordinary civilian," he said.

According to him, there have been cases of Israel deliberately targetting journalists in Gaza."

Seeming Inabilities of Nigerian Military

Kenneth Roth who spoke on the recent deadly attack in Manga LGA Plateau that led to the death of over 100 persons, questioned the inability of the military to adequately control Nigerian territories.

"Why is it that this significant #Nigerian military can't establish control over Nigerian territories?"

He noted that the Nigerian military despite being a "powerhouse in the region" is failing to stop incessant killings in the north.
