The FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, has ordered the demolition of Nuwalege Community, located along Airport Road, to pave the way for a facility for the presidential fleet.
The minister gave the directive on Tuesday during a community and citizen engagement in the community.
He said the community needed to be removed from the Air Force plots as it could not be near the presidential fleet.
The minister was represented by the Department of Development Control director Mukhtar Galadima.
Galadima disclosed that about 150 to 200 houses would be demolished and explained that community engagement was necessary to let the people know what would happen.
The demolition will be handled by the FCT Administration.
