Ophthalmologist, Dr Adegboyega Alabi says regular eye checks are the only way to spot glaucoma early.
Dr Alabi said this on the Morning Crossfire with Wemimo Adewuni.
According to him, glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world but barely 20-30 per cent of people living with this condition know they have it.
This is because it shows no symptoms in its early stage and, at the time it is reported, it most likely would have done excessive damage to the eye.
The medical practitioner also had more facts to state about Glaucoma and why the condition should be taken seriously.
