Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar clinched the presidential ticket of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) at the primary on Saturday in Abuja. Take a look at this story and others you probably missed.

Alhaji Atiku defeated his closest rival, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to emerge the PDP’s candidate for the second straight time.

He is set to face whoever emerges as the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress which has fixed its primary for 6 June.

Other likely candidates that could give Alhaji Atiku a good run are the former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and the former Governor of Kano State, and former Defence Minister, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
