The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner for Adamawa State Barrister Hudu Yunusa-Ari.
His arrest was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by the force spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
According to the statement, he was arrested by the Police Election Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Team in Abuja on Tuesday.
It added that was investigations had already commenced to ascertain the motive behind his alleged misconduct during the governorship elections in the state.
Adejobi gave the assurance that every individual indicted in the matter will be apprehended and investigated in line with the provisions of the law for possible prosecution.
