Kano Pillars Football Club beat visiting Doma United of Gombe 3-1 in an ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game in Kano on Sunday.
Fans thronged the 16,000-capacity Sani Abacha Stadium for the Match Day 33 fixture, with the home team taking advantage of the massive support to dominate the game.
Mustafa Ibrahim opened scoring in the 14th minute while Abubakar Babawo doubled the lead in the 19th minute.
Musa Usman scored a consolation goal for the visitors in the 80th minute while Suleiman Idris scored the third goal in the added time.
Kano Pillars’ acting coach, Ahmed Garba said the victory would boost his team’s morale.
The Kano Pillars sit in the ninth position on the league table, with 47 points from 33 matches.
