Nigeria 0-1 CAR: Nigerians React

Nigeria Info Sports Analyst Adaeze Michael says "a drab draw or a stalemate would have been better than defeat to the Central African Republic (CAR)."

She was speaking on Game On, following the Super Eagles' shock 0-1 home loss to CAR on Thursday in their Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying clash in Lagos.

According to her, "the gulf in class between the two sides leaves one with no explanation as to the defeat."

She said, "You can't even compare the squad value of the Super Eagles to this side (CAR). How did we lose this game?

"The Super Eagles squad value is at £265m, while the CAR is at £347,000. Look at that disparity!"

In the same vein, a caller, while bemoaning the performance of the three-time African champions, expressed a lack of belief ahead of the return clash on Sunday.

For him, "if CAR can come to Lagos and win, then I don't see Nigeria going there to beat them."
