New Date Yet to be Fixed for APC Presidential Screening

Presidential aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are still awaiting the new date to be fixed for their screening, following the indefinite postponement announced by the party on Sunday.

The screening was meant to take place Monday, 23 May, but a notice from the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka stated the exercise had been rescheduled.

The party said a new date would be announced ‘shortly.”
No fewer than 25 presidential aspirants will be screened by the party’s Presidential Screening Committee to contest for the 2023 presidential ticket.

They include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Sen. Bola Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Sen. Rochas Okorocha, Sen. Ken Nnamani, and Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.

Others are Pastor Tunde Bakare, Gov. Ben Ayade, Gov. Dave Umahi, Gov. Kayode Fayemi, Gov. Yahaya Bello, Gov. Mohammed Abubakar, Sen. Ahmad Lawan, Sen. Ahmed Yerima, Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohnenye, Pastor Nicholas Nwagbo, and Dimeji Bankole.
