The Federal Government has announced Monday, September 16th, 2024, as a public holiday in celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
Making the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, extended his congratulations to Muslims both in Nigeria and abroad.
He encouraged them to embrace the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and resilience during this season and to use the opportunity to pray for lasting peace and a more prosperous and just nation.
