The Federal Government declared free train services across the country
A statement from the Nigeria Railway Corporation on Friday says the free services can be enjoyed between December 24 and January 4, 2022.
The statement says the free service covers all the standard gauge and narrow gauge services of the NRC across its network to ease movement during the yuletide.
The affected lines include the Abuja-Kaduna train service, Lagos-Ibadan train service, Warri-Itakpe, Kano-Lagos; Minna-Kaduna and Aba-Port Harcourt.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government is expecting new equipment to improve the nation's weak power infrastructure, which is unable to evacuate and distribute electricity sufficiently.
The Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, made the disclosure on Thursday during the extraordinary and last virtual Federal Executive Council meeting of 2021 presided by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
