If you registered for your Permanent Voters Card in 2022, your cards are not ready for pickup yet.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC Lagos State, Olusegun Agbaje revealed this in a chat with Sheriff Quadry on Morning Crossfire.
According to Agbaje, the PVCs for those who registered between January 14th and July 31st of this year have not yet reached all states.
He added that the commission's headquarters in Abuja has asked for this week to wrap up production, which means Lagos State should receive its share next week and begin distribution.
However, the INEC REC emphasized that the cards of those who applied for transfer or had them reprinted were ready for collection and are not affected by this development.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission on Monday commenced the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2023 general election.
The commission fixed December 12, 2022 to January 22, 2023 as the dates for the collection of the PVCs in all the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
