The Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff of ECOWAS will be meeting at the Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja on Wednesday.
Details of the two-day meeting have not been made public, but they may not be unconnected to the coup inNiger Republic.
On Sunday, ECOWAS Heads of State imposed sanctions on Niger and issued a warning of potential force, giving the junta a one-week ultimatum to restore President Mohamed Bazoum to power.
