The Senate will screen the former chairman of the Board of CitiBank Nigeria, Dr. Olayemi Cardoso for the position of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) today.
The upper legislative chamber will also screen four nominees for the positions of CBN Deputy Governors upon resumption from its annual recess.
This is contained in a statement signed by the media office of the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele.
The Deputy Governor nominees to be screened are Mrs. Emem Usoro, Mr. Muhammad Dattijo, Mr. Philip Ikeazor, and Dr. Bala Bello.
Senator Bamidele’s office said the Senate will also screen Dr. Jamila Ibrahim and Mr. Ayodele Olawande for the Minister of Youth, and Minister of State for Youth positions on 3 October.
