Nigeria's Supreme Court has adjourned until Wednesday 22 February to hear the notice of motions in the suit against the naira redesign policy before it.
The case was brought by Zamfara, Kaduna, and Kogi States on 3 February.
The states sought to stop the federal government and the Central Bank of Nigeria from implementing a naira redesign policy that mandates the swapping of old N200, N500, and N1,000 notes for redesigned ones with a 10 February deadline.
At the start of the matter on 8 February the Supreme Court restrained the federal government from implementing the deadline pending a hearing today (Wednesday).
Other states joined as plaintiffs & respondents when the matter came up for hearing on Wednesday.
Nigeria Info will bring the details later.
