Aviation workers in Nigeria have expressed concern about their safety in light of the recent fire outbreak at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and the skidding off the runway of Dana Air.
The National President of the Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals, Kabiru Gusau raised the concern at the second national delegates conference of the association in Kano.
Gusau and other workers at the Conference, also back the call for the “review of the minimum wage of Nigerian workers to N615,000.”
National President of Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Comrade Joseph Ajaero expressed concerns over the fire outbreak at the Murtala Muhammed International, “stressing the need for the safety of workers and passengers”.
Comrade Ajaero, represented by the Deputy of the National President of NLC, Kabiru Ado Sani Minjibir “charged the management of the aviation sector to fulfill its promises as regards the welfare of workers.”
