Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday granted Imo State former Governor, Rochas Okorocha bail in the sum of N500 million naira with one surety in like sum.
Governor Okorocha was brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of committing fraud to the tune of N2.9 billion.
In his ruling on Tuesday, Justice Ekwo ordered that the former Governor be barred from travelling outside Nigeria except with the permission of the court.
He was therefore ordered to deposit his international passport with the registrar of the court.
