Public Affairs analyst, Jimi Disu, has explained why car owners who have reported damages caused to their vehicles by adulterated fuel, may find it hard to get compensation.
Disu argues that giving the peculiarity of Nigeria, it may be hard to prove that they really purchased the fuel at the filling station they are suing.
His comments come after some senior advocates and rights activists, including Femi Falana (SAN) and Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, called on the NNPC; the sole importer of petrol, to compensate motorists who bought adulterated fuel.
Was your car affected? Do you think you or others will get compensation for damaged cars? How do you see this playing out?
