Cancers caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is transmitted sexually can be prevented by avoiding anal and oral sex.
This is according to Clinical Oncologist, Dr Omolola Salako who speaking on Nigeria Info's Hard Facts, also revealed that 30 percent of cancers are preventable.
Dr Salako noted that 'breast cancer is not largely preventable but one can reduce the risk by maintaining a healthy weight, reducing fat intake and exercising regularly.'
