Broadcast journalist,Angela Ajetunmobi, believes that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has not consistently appeared on televised debates or interviews because his campaign team has adopted a "gangster approach."
On the Discourse with Jimi Disu, Ajetunmoni explained that Tinubu's campaign has dispatched foot soldiers to campaign on his behalf. This demonstrates that they don't need to follow the traditional format to win an election.
Despite agreeing that it's not the most effective strategy, Ajetunmobi adds that Bola Ahmed Tinubu owns media outfits that are dedicated to his campaign. As a result, he doesn't feel the need to appear for photo ops on other media outlets.
On the Labour Party, host Jimi Disu noted that Peter Obi, the party's presidential candidate, has been the face of the entire party. The other party members remain relatively unknown or in the shadows.
Ajetunmobi, in her response recalls that the supreme court ruled the ticket belongs to the party and not to an individual, however Peter Obi moving to the labour party spurred a movement. “There is a movement and Peter Obi is the beneficiary of this movement, and he cannot stop this movement even if he tried”.
