Nigeria Info's Tatiana Mousalli-Nouri was honoured by the Lagos State Government as one of the EKO 100 Women as the state celebrated the International Women's Day this week.
It is not a usual occurrence when your Deputy Group Managing Director (DGMG), gets recognised by the Lagos State government.
Well, that’s exactly the case now as Nigeria Info’s DGMG, Tatiana Moussalli Nouri, was recognised by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as one of the EKO 100 Women in celebration of the International Women’s Day (IWD).
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that this recognition was for her "unending commitment and contribution to a more equal and equitable world."
According to the governor, “Half the population of our country are women and girls, (and) anything that limits them limits all of us and limits our capacity to achieve our full potential as a nation.”
He added that Mousalli-Nouri’s “trailblazing work is very important and necessary.
“Lagos state celebrates you,” Governor Sanwo-Olu added.
“We salute your boundary breaking exploits and your bold and visible presence in the spaces and places that matter.
“We also honor the work that you do to expand these spaces for more people especially women and girls.”
This year’s IWD was celebrated on Tuesday, March 8th with the theme Break the Bias.
