Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle has joined the All Progressive Congress from the Peoples Democratic Party
Matawalle announced his decision at a grand rally in Gusau while also automatically becomes the leader of the party in the state.
He revealed that he has been nursing the ambition of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party for several reasons.
The President, Muhammadu Buhari, sees this as a plus, saying the decision came as a result of the impressive performance record of his administration and commitment to good governance”.
He further urged APC Governors and elected lawmakers to continue to work harder to ensure the party maintains its popularity and retains power beyond 2023.
