Reactions have continued to trail the arrest of the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, by the EFCC, over corruption allegations
Public Affairs analyst, Jimi Disu, while laughing, said Obiano should have saved himself from embarrassment by reporting to the EFCC office before he was arrested.
Disu,speaking on Morning Crossfire, expressed his concern over reports that Obiano’s arrest was for allegedly mismanaging the N17bn Paris Club refund and security vote.
“Why do we repeatedly have corruption cases in large sums?,” he asked Sheriff Quadry, who could not provide any answers.
He finally called for a transparent and swift judgement process.
EFCC’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, told our correspondent Philip Nwelih, that the former governor was arrested at the Lagos airport where he was billed to fly to Houston Texas in the United States of America.
