Southern governors are expected to hold a meeting in Lagos State today, Monday, as a follow-up to the inaugural meeting held in Asaba, Delta State on May 11.
Today’s meeting will be hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The main objective is expected to centre on articulating the collective interest and reiterate their commitment to a united Nigeria capable of guaranteeing equity, fairness and justice.
It would be recalled that the governors, at the last meeting which was hosted by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and attended by 15 of the 17 Southern governors, arrived at a 12-point resolution which included the banning of Open Grazing of cattle in all the states.
