As the drums of the 2023 presidential election get louder, supporters of some presidential candidates have begun crediting their principals with some developmental successes.

One such popular claim is that the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu built and developed Lagos State.

In counter to this claim, a cross-section of callers on Nigeria Info's Hard Facts are of the opinion that development in the state was engineered by former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode.

According to them, Bola Tinubu's administration led to the emergence of 'agberos' across the state.

They added that the APC presidential candidate cannot claim the achievements of his successors as his own.

Other callers insisted that Tinubu performed 'very well' as governor and left a 'vision' upon which the successes of Fashola and Ambode were built on.

Recall that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Tunde Bank-Anthony in a television interview lambasted Tinubu claiming the achievements of his successors.

“The people that succeeded Asiwaju, Fashola succeeded him and his eight years were more visible than Bola Tinubu’s eight years.

"He cannot claim glory for what they did; it’s not possible,” Bank-Anthony said.
