Joy, a caller, has argued that every political party should, in the spirit of fairness, give their presidential ticket to a candidate from the South-East.
She made the remark on the Morning Crossfire with Wemimo Adewuni as the clamour for an Igbo president continues to dominate discourse leading to the election.
According to her, it’s the turn of the Igbos to be president because “every other geo-political zone has produced” a president since after the war.
However, another caller, Alex, says Joy’s argument is primitive and should not be entertained as nobody should be threatened to vote for a candidate just because the aspirant is from a particular region.
